♡ COSY TURMERIC CINNAMON ELIXIR ♡

As Cold and Flu Season Approaches I found this great Article compliments of

"This Rawsome Vegan Life"

Fight Nasty Germs the Healthy Way!!

I am finally healing from the seasonal cold I have had for the past week. And this drink is helping, or at least that's what I'm telling myself. Turmeric is the food of gods, I try to get some in everyday. It's super powered when you pair it with black pepper. I also added a bunch of warming spices like nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger because fall is here! It has been rainy and stormy the past couple days which makes for suuuper cosy times inside my bedroom. I plan to curl up for a big chunk of today with a book and this drink. It's creamy thanks to pecan butter and coconut milk, sweet thanks to dates and maple syrup, and delicious thanks to the magic of the plant kingdom.

I have been deep cleaning various aspects of my life during this sickness because I have nothing else to do / cannot sit still. I've FINALLY gotten through my entire Gmail inbox, some 400 emails later (I am so grateful to you amazing people who constantly send me beautiful messages!) I re-arranged my room according to a dream I had wherein my bed was at an angle in front of my glass deck door - I love it - and got rid of more clothes. I simplified by Facebook profile. I went through my music library: delete. And besides decluttering I've made a couple recipes and listened to some podcasts and albums. I've had a couple of steamy baths infused with essential oils: tea tree, lavender and eucalyptus. I wrote in my journal last night for the first time in about a week, which is a hefty gap for me. It makes me feel like I know myself better when I write down day-to-day happenings and thoughts. It's self-care for me.This turmeric latte recipe thing is a perfect indication of how I am doing these days since it's everything I'm craving: warm, comforting, safe, nourishing, cosy and romantic. Because I have been feeling lonely, vulnerable, sad and worried. It's the ideal balancer. It's taking care of me. I hope it can take care of you!
